Matilda, Roald Dahl

Most kids are normal. But Matilda is not. But her parents don't see that. They think she is a little brat. What happens when she starts school?

Matilda's parents have called her some terrible things.  The truth is, she's a genius and they're the stupid ones. Fine out how she gets the better of them and her spiteful headmistress, Miss  Trunchbull, as well as discovering that she has a very special power.

This book in a way is similar to George's Marvelous Medicine. The fact that both the kids are very mischievous. I personally can relate to Matilda about being a good actor and a bit mischievous.  This book can relate to the world in a way that parents think their child or children are the best thing in the world. Even if their child is the snobbiest thing on earth. They still think they are great.

My views on the book: fantastically written and can calm people down. I would say the word choice is suitable for any age group and others can understand the meaning. Personally, I can't find any messages the author was trying to get through.

I recommend this book to others because the main character (Matilda) has a wonderful journey through out her life. She is a wonderful girl in a terrible learning environment. This book is suited for any age group. But to be specific, a younger age group such as 7-12 would be recommended.

5 stars.
