Number the Stars by, Lois Lowry
Could a young girl save her friend from the Nazis?
Ten year old Annemarie Johansen and her freind Ellen Rosen do not now what lays a head of them and if they will see each other again. The Nazis have spread and they won't let any of the Jews of Denmark leave the country and it is dangerous for any Jew to walk outside but Annemarie and Ellen will have to face it.
There are other books about the war and other books about Jews in the war.
My cousins are Jewish.
There are other Jews that survived the war.
It was advernturous because Annemarie was trying to save her friend and make sure she was safe. It was sad because a lot of people died. It was funny because sometimes the younger sister would be a bit bossy and I thought that was funny. The author was telling about the braveness of the Danish people that saved many of the Jews lives in Denmark.
I recomend that this book is for 8-12 and if you do not like sad storis then please don't read it but in some parts it is funny.
