4 Hook Question: What will happen when Roz wakes up in an island she is not supposed to be in?

5 Blurb: When robot Roz opens her eyes for the first time, she discovers that she is alone on a remote, wild island. She has no idea how she got there or what her purpose is- but she knows she needs to survive. After battling a fierce storm and escaping a vicious bear attack, she realizes that her only hope for survival is to adapt to her surroundings and learn from the island's unwelcoming animal inhabitants.
As Roz slowly befriends the animals, the island starts to feel like home - until, one day, the robot's mysterious past comes back to haunt her.

6 Text to Text/ Text to self/ Text to world: In my opinion, The Wild Robot is similar to The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe because both Aslan and Roz sacrifice themselves for their friends' safety.
In a way, this book could be similar to me because the robot cannot live with no aid and no friends and family and neither can I.
I think this book could be similar to the world because if you are stranded on a deserted island you need to adapt to your surroundings to survive.

7 Your views on the book and why? Were there any messages the author was trying to get across? I enjoyed this book because the story is fast paced with sudden changes and lots of action. I think the message the author was trying to send is that even though you don't want to do something, you might have to do it to survive.

8 Do you recommend this book for others? Why or why not? What age group is it suited to?: I recommend this book to people who like mystery and adventure. This book suits ages 8-14.
